FAQ's

What denomination do you belong to?

McClure UMC is a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and follows the Wesleyan tradition.

What are your services like?

Each service is focused on God and includes times of singing, prayer, preaching and giving.  The music is a blend of classical hymns and contemporary favorites.  The preaching explores the Bible and relates the Scriptures to our daily lives.

Where are you located?

McClure UMC is located just off I 86/NY 17, Exit 82.  Head north on Rt 41 about 1/10th of a mile.  Our driveway is located across from the Cozy Brook Cafe.  We have parking on either side of the church and designated spots for those who are physically challenged.

Where do I enter the building?

We have three entrances.  Our front entrance has stairs and is located in the front of the building.  A wheelchair ramp is located on the right side of the building and leads to our worship area.  Another entrance on the left side of the building has fewer steps to negotiate than the main entrance.

Is the church handicapped accessible?

We provide an entrance with a wheelchair ramp for those who need it.  We also provide a stair climber to assist those going up from or down to the fellowship hall.  However, one will need to leave one's wheelchair in order to use the stair climber in order to use the fellowship hall.  Rest rooms have grab bars for assistance; they are located in the fellowship hall.

Do you provide childcare?

We provide a self-service nursery for parents with infants or toddlers.  It is located in the rear of our worship area so that parents need not leave the church service in order to attend to their children.

What should I wear?

We are more concerned about you and your presence with us than we are with what you wear.  We encourage you to wear something you feel comfortable in.  Most of our members dress casually.
